mise en scene:
Characters:
As a demographic, people will always be looking to judge or understand a lot of the key characters within a scene, almost subconsciously. Therefore the way that the characters act may have to be very specific in order for the viewers to fully get an understanding of the character or not to understand the character which creates the audience to be mysterious and make their own suggestions on what they think that the character will be like. for example, a character may be manipulative and therefore their actions can show so through the way they talk to other characters and how the character reacts to things that other characters talk about. Another example could be something as simple as showing a less confident character not conversing with a lot of other characters and in their body language, which will be immediately picked up by majority of the audience.
Setting:
As with the characters, costume and props, the setting of a particular scene is also used to enhance the demographics understanding of the scene itself. For example, if it were to be set in a castle or mansion then you would be assuming that they have a lot of money and are well off or rich depending on which of these it is and the style of it, what time period it is set in . as well as helping the viewers understand. It can also mean more towards understanding the character deeper, if they were to be spending a lot of their shots in the same location away from others you may say that he is very desolate and keeps themselves to themselves.
