Opening film sequence

OPENING SEQUENCE

The video above is the opening sequence to our film, created in the AHS (American Horror Story) opening titles fashion. I was inspired by the show's opening sequence to make something similar, with lots of gruesome, creepy images. American Horror Story's producers Ryan Murphy (writer) and Brad Falchuk (director) have said that when making title sequences for this series they try to capture as many scenes and objects and people that may not seem to link together to create a sort of collage. Though in AHS as the series goes on you begin to make links between different occurrences and the mysterious images presented at the title sequence at the beginning of all episodes, in our thriller film case the images use for OUR title sequence have no meaning behind them. There is no story or relationship between them and the film, apart from the fact they are creepy and we hope make the viewer slightly uncomfortable. This prepares the audience to really expect anything from the film.
