Improvement two

our second scene shooting

The scene we filmed here was the hospital room scene, where Drew was seen laying in bed in a dream-like state, asleep and unaware of what has happened to him and where he is. We filmed this one day in the school medical room, gathering a cast of additional characters, who might not feature in the finish product, yet we decided to have anyway for additional material in case we needed extra footage.

Each character was filmed laying in bed, moving around frantically to flashing bright lights, for a few brief seconds. The original idea was to overlay silent footage with sound, for an uncomfortable atmosphere.

After having filmed this sequence, looking back at the shots we had filmed we decided that the footage was too bright and harsh in lighting, not looking like a hospital and more like a school, which it was obviously set it. In order to make our film feel and look more professional, we scrapped this

 idea and decided upon a few shots of a door and patient sheet, implying that Drew is there. These shots are very brief and only last a few seconds but long enough to give the general impression that Drew is in hospital.
