Improvement one

our first scene shooting:

the first scene of our film consists of our main protagonist Drew trying to find a way home when he is attacked by a drunken passer by. The idea of this scene was a dark ally way later during the evening so that darkness could be associated as fear Drew is feeling as we wanted to give an innocent walk home a more dramatic atmosphere.
We decided to shoot around 5 one night just as the sun was setting to get the right production that we wanted to show. whilst shooting the scene we didn't think that anything went wrong, however on further inspection the next day we found that the footage was much too dark and grainy and was hard to see and hear what we filmed. We tried to see whether we could save the footage and still use it, so we tried changing around the colouring making the brightness and contrast different. It didn't work out the way we had hoped and we had to shoot the scene again.
This time we decided on shooting at a much earlier time of the day, which meant that if we wanted it to be darker it would be easier to adjust. We used lighting just in case some of the footage was too dark.
Unfortunately this time round the character that we had previously used as the drunken man was unable to attend so we had to compromise and use another member of our team as an actor.
The first footage, thought much too dark was used as somehow we found an editing setting that made the footage slightly lighter, just being able to be seen. We know that if we were to film this again, equipment such as lighting and mics would need to have been used , and a possible earlier time in the day used for filming.

our second scene shooting:

Here is a video showing some raw footage from our film, showing the field scene.
